Kay Mooney has sent advice about this year's Back Yard Bird Count:
This is a fun scientific family friendly
and free event as part of National Bird Week.
You are asked to choose a green space, such as your garden, and record
the birds seen in a twenty minute period.
If you don’t recognize them it is hoped you will look them up. There is a free app to help you with this. You
can then submit the result on the web site aussiebirdcount.org.au, go to the
top of the page and click on “submit checklist”. (Or record on the free Internet at the library for those
without). Do it as many times as you like. In addition there is to be a
