Raymond Island WWI veterans

Andrew Bould sent these picture of his great uncle Thomas Enoch Haylock, who was the only Raymond Islander killed at Gallipoli in 1915. He reports that quite a few Islanders joined the fighting in WW1 and, by the end of the centenary celebrations in 1919, he hopes to have a new honour roll for the Community Hall made (there was one in the Raymond Island School but it is lost).

Andrew is also working with the Paynesville Cemetery Trust to have a memorial garden and signage done for those WWI vets buried at Paynesville.

Victor and Victoria Trofimov hope to find Thomas Haylock's gravesite while they are at Gallipoli.
