The Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning (DELWP) and Parks Victoria are consulting with the community on bushfire management in the near future.
They are keen to set up a community working group to improve the consultation process, to ensure that Raymond Islanders are heard and their views taken into consideration on this issue.
If you are interested in being part of the community working group that will oversee the consultation, please send your expression of interest to Warwick Hall via email wmh1501@gmail.com by Friday 21 August.
Please include your area of interest and the expertise that you bring which will add value to the process in your expression of interest.
The process aims to be collaborative in nature and inclusive of the broader community.
The expressions of interest will be considered, and an update on the community working group will be included in the Raymond Island weekly newsletter week beginning 31 August.
