Suez Canal ferry terminal

Victor and Victoria Trofimovs report...

We are currently on The Gallipoli Cruise 2015 which is following the route the troops took to join WW1, so all the stops we are making are those of the first troop ships. We joined the ship in Melbourne and then went to Adelaide, Fremantle, Albany, through the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Colombo (Sri Lanka), Luxor and Cairo in Egypt. We have just entered the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal on route to Gallipoli.  From there we will sail to Turkey, Greece and Italy.

We have included a picture of the ferry service that crosses the Suez Canal along with the luxurious ferry terminal.

Easter Fundraiser Results

The Shelter wishes to say a special thank-you to the residents, tourists, general public, businesses and organisations that supported our Easter Fundraiser on 5 April 2015.

An incredible result was achieved with $7,070 raised from our Major Raffle over the past 3 months and $1,900 raised from the sausage sizzle, tin rattle and day entertainment.

This could not have been achieved without the dedication and hard work of volunteers who work tirelessly to run the Shelter - an amazing group of people we thank immensely for their work.

Finally without the generosity of the following businesses & organisations the fundraiser would not have been possible - a sincere and heartfelt thank you goes to our sponsors.

All money raised goes to the ongoing daily care of our sick, injured, orphaned & abandoned precious wildlife and towards the building of a purpose built treatment facility, primarily for koalas.
